“Once our eyes are opened, we can’t pretend we don’t know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know, and holds us responsible to act.” Proverbs 24: 12

Chinese tradition
So we learned of a Chinese tradition today. Our hotel lobby has been bustling with dollies of large boxes and people have been caring around circular tins. And the lines to the cashier have been crazy long. We were aware that next week is a holiday in China. It is referred to as the Mid-Autumn Festival. It turns out our hotel is selling moon cakes. Guest services told us that moon cakes are a very sweet dessert. During Mid-Autumn Festival, families spend time together, watch the moon, and have moon cakes for dessert. We are going to give it a try.
